Visit of the Church dedicated to Saint Joan of Arc combining modern architecture and showcased 16th century stained-glass windows.
Built next to the site where Jeanne d Arc was martyred, this modern church has a dual vocation : first as a church honouring St. Joan and second as a civil memorial to the French heroine. France officially commemorates Jeanne d'Arc on the second Sunday in May. In Rouen, the Jeanne d Arc Festival is held on Sunday around May 30th. With its slate and copper scales, the church modern exterior evokes the sea. Inside, you can admire the remarkable Renaissance stained-glass windows from the Church of St. Vincent that was destroyed in 1944.
