The Rouen Maritime, River and Port Museum is dedicated to the port heritage of the city and its river, the Seine. Not to forget the history of inland and sea navigation. Located on the bank of the river Seine, in a former dock warehouse which used to store wine and citrus fruits coming from North Africa. The museum tells the history of the port of Rouen and its river.
The Maritime and River Museum is situated in an old warehouse built by the Schiaffino Company. This site of memory tells the story of Rouen Maritime heritage. Come and imagine the life of the divers, discover the radio room of a cargo, a whale skeleton, and listen the Risle river bell, see different kinds of boats and models.
