Following the exhibition “The Clos-Masure — A Heritage to Protect” presented at the Heritage House in 2020, the Pays d’Art et d’Histoire invites you to meet the people who live and work at the heart of these emblematic heritage sites of the Pays de Caux.
Through photographs and personal stories collected by Les Cueilleurs d’histoires, the clos-masure emerges as a demanding yet vibrant form of heritage — a living witness to our landscapes, one that must be understood, cared for, and enhanced. The women and men who inhabit these places devote their time, resources, and energy to a shared goal: preserving this ancestral symbol of the Caux region.
Organized by the Pays d’Art et d’Histoire, in partnership with the Urban Planning Department of the Urban Community, the Le Havre–Seine Estuary Urban Planning Agency, and the Seine-Maritime Council for Architecture, Urbanism and the Environment.
