Description
Located on good soils, the Forêt domaniale Verte boasts magnificent beech forests and a long history! Formerly known as Silveison, the forest long belonged to the monks of the Saint-Ouen Abbey in Rouen. It was not until the French Revolution that it became a state-owned forest. In 2015, the Forêt domaniale Verte was awarded the "Forêt d'exception" label. This label, awarded by the Office National des Forêts, recognizes the excellence of emblematic state forests.
