Description
45 hectares in the heart of the Durdent valley, between the communes of Le Hanouard and Grainville-la-Teinturière, made up of meadows, woods and ponds: Basses Eaux is a breath of pure chlorophyll, miraculously preserved by the years, and home to many remarkable plant and animal species.
In addition to the flora and fauna you'd expect to encounter on a walk in the forest or by a pond, you'll discover some particularly rare, remarkable and fragile species along the way: orchids, bats and a number of invertebrates? The trail around the wet meadows is criss-crossed by the Durdent valley cycle path and runs alongside the ponds where fish, insects, herons and other inhabitants of this ecosystem can be found.
