Description
A native of Prétot-Vicquemare, André Raimbourg (alias Bourvil, after the village of Bourville where he grew up) is one of the most famous Cauchois. He spent his youth in the Pays de Caux, between the family farm, the school in Doudeville and the bakery in Saint-Laurent-en-Caux, before becoming the illustrious comedian-singer-comedian we know today.
This peaceful, rural childhood nurtured all his work, notably the song "À bicyclette", in which the sweetness of country life, the innocence of simple love and the charm of the Normandy byways shine through. It reflects his sincere love for his native Pays de Caux.
