Christmas carols are a great tradition in Anglo-Saxon countries. Children and adults often gather with family, friends or groups in the street to sing and celebrate this important holiday. A group from Mont-Saint-Aignan wanted to share with you the carols that brighten up the harsh winters of their native Canada.

Emily Forsyth, vocals
Canadian soprano and singer-songwriter Emily Forsyth holds a degree in music performance from Concordia University (Quebec, Canada). Her passion for music and teaching has taken her to Maputo (Mozambique), Ulsan (South Korea), Nagoya (Japan), London and Vancouver. She has taught English, drama and creative writing, participated in classical recitals and operas, and choreographed musicals for children.
More recently, she has presented classical recitals with Yves MOUCHEL and Christian LORANDIN, and traditional song concerts with the Celtic Rose Band. She is currently developing a number of multidisciplinary projects with Rouen-based artists.
Julian Bowers, guitar
Singer-songwriter, guitarist and long-time trumpeter Julian Bowers has been a regular on the Rouen music scene for almost 20 years. He fronts the band Carny Barker, which expresses his love of rock, blues, jazz and funk. He also founded the Celtic Rose Band, in which he and his wife cover traditional Anglo-Saxon and Celtic songs in concerts that take them all over France and the world.
