Tiago Rodrigues

Tiago Rodrigues, current director of the Avignon Festival, has set his sights on the future with his latest creation, a tale of anticipation through intimacy. The year is 2077. Living conditions on Earth are increasingly precarious. Part of the blue planet's population has migrated to Mars. Separated by more than 225 million kilometers and stardust, a father who has stayed on Earth talks to his daughter - who has left to try her luck on another sphere - and tries to preserve their relationship despite the infinite distance between them. Communication is chaotic, sometimes tenuous or even elliptical, bearing the scars of this unreturnable distance and intensifying with each call. Tiago Rodrigues invents a sensitive science-fiction theater, as close as possible to the burning issues conditioning the future of humanity. As the impotent father left stranded on the quayside, Adama Diop offers a new face of maturity, proving once again what a grounded, embodied actor he is in this interplanetary show with his heart on his sleeve. The presence of young actress Alison Dechamps completes the duo and reinforces the double dimension of the show.
