For his second staging with the Comédie-Française troupe, he surrounded himself with a dazzling cast. He shows a strong Queen of Palestine in the face of the cowardice of Titus, who spurns her, and of her friend Antiochus, who loves her in secret, two characters played here by the same actor. The tragedy is sublimated in a moving scenography that makes use of new technologies, with images projected to mirror the psychic meanderings of the love trio.
