The great historical re-enactment festival at Robert le Diable Castle is back for another edition! Over the course of a weekend, the park and moat of the château are transformed into a Viking encampment, inviting visitors to relive Normandy in the era of its foundation. Our re-enactors will introduce you to the lifestyle, crafts, mythology and warrior rites of our distant northern ancestors.
On the program:
- Continuous craft market: costumes, headdresses, jewelry, wood pyrography and tableware, as well as cheeses, beehive products and a medieval brewery, keep a souvenir of the festival with a selection of products typical of the period.
- Craft demonstrations on the encampment, and handling of period objects (chain mail, swords or shields...)
- Musical strolls with instruments typical of the period
- Combat demonstrations: Viking warriors face off before your very eyes in duels that are as spectacular as they are educational, since they are not stingy about their combat techniques.
- Readings of mythological tales
- Investigation trail
- Children's battle
- Catering and refreshments by the Comité des fêtes de Moulineaux
Free admission from 10am to 6pm | Free parking around the château | Dogs allowed on leash | Cosplays allowed (and encouraged!)
