Doudeville patron saint's day
To kick off the festivities, a torchlight procession is organized on August 14, starting at 10:30pm. Departing from the town hall, the procession of lanterns will wind through the streets of Doudeville to the music of the Doudeville Renaissance band, who will lead the participants to the fireworks display area. The fireworks will be fired from the "Gérard Ducastel" sports complex
Once again, the traditional flower parade will take to the streets of Doudeville, starting at 2:30 pm.
The 7 floats are made by volunteers from the Doudeville en fête association. They will be accompanied by 7 bands, while the La Renaissance wind band will take part at a fixed point on rue Pierre-Lamotte, in front of the church.
Made from scratch in Doudeville, in the courtyard of the Joseph-Breton school or in the hangar of the Vert-Galant, this year's floats will represent comic strips.
At 9:30 p.m., the floats will once again take to the streets of Doudeville, decked out in their costumes of light. This final event will mark the retirement of the Doudeville August 15 festivities. The floats will be accompanied by the Doudeville Dragonfly majorettes and musical groups.
During these two days, there will be a funfair on the Place du Général-de-Gaulle and the Place Isidore-Durozey.
