In dialogue with the ruins of Jumièges Abbey, this group exhibition brings together eleven artists from the contemporary Tunisian scene, exploring the themes of history and memory through the visual arts.
Whether reappropriating archives, rituals or vernacular know-how, they follow in the footsteps of a little-known past in order to free themselves from it, reveal what remains invisible and invent new languages.
Visible from May 17 to September 21, the exhibition will be open free of charge at night, from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm, on Saturday May 17. Admission to the exhibition is free all weekend for visitors with a Terres de Paroles ticket. Without a ticket, abbey rates apply.
