She sings in French or English, with her caressing, bewitching timbre, songs of exile and violence, sorority, scars and uprooting, expressing her wounds, her hopes and her earthly, deep-rooted strength. Sandra Nkaké, voted Vocalist of the Year at the Victoires du Jazz 2024, already has four solo albums to her credit, which she combines with prestigious musical collaborations (Troublemakers, Ji Mob, Push Up, Tony Allen, etc.), when her magnetic presence isn't on cinema screens. To pay tribute to the female artists who have influenced her, the Franco-Cameroonian singer imagines this intimate acoustic concert specially dedicated to a repertoire of songs written and composed by women. Accompanied by guitar, transverse flute and cello, she gives her voice from the heart, continuing this emancipating legacy of transmission, herself becoming an inspirational figure for others after her.
