FORET DE LEGENDES :
- The Pierre Bise, an ancient druidic monument, is said to become steaming hot a few hours before it rains...
- The Quesne à Leu - or Wolf Oak - 4.80m in circumference, is still visible on the ground since it collapsed in 2008. It is at its foot that the last wolves in the forest are said to have been killed, and where execution judgments were handed down.

LE CARCAHOUX:
The Carcahoux is a traditional lumberjack's hut.
Its construction and name are typical of the Eu forest. Conical in shape, its framework is made up of 4.50m poles. There's a hole to let out the smoke from the fireplace, around which a dozen people could warm up and eat. It served as a shelter for the woodcutters while they were cutting, and was then abandoned on the spot. Today, you'll find a carcahoux in Millebosc ("in the middle of the woods"), a village that celebrates the forest every year at the end of September

UNIQUE POSTS:
The signposts in the Eu forest are unique in that they are made of cast iron (wooden in other forests) and weigh several tons each.
They bear the name of the locality, foresters or are dedicated to the Orleans family (Isabelle post...).
An obelisk in the Eu forest: Louis-Philippe had this 12-m obelisk erected in 1844 on the edge of the Eu forest at Millebosc in honor of his sister, Princess Adelaïde d'Orléans.
