Le Bois Gamet is located on the western edge of the Pays de Bray buttonhole. The site?s main interest lies in the presence of a small limestone hillside where a calcicole lawn has developed, home to a number of remarkable flowers, including numerous orchids.
Formerly used for animal grazing and mowing, the lawns have been abandoned and threatened by the growth of trees and shrubs.
Today, the site is managed with the aim of preserving the surface area of the meadows and the plants they support, as well as maintaining the woodland, a place of refuge for wildlife.
The site is owned and managed by the Département de la Seine-Maritime.
