Located between Dieppe and Le Tréport, the Basse Vallée de l?Yères? Mont Joli-Bois is a site of great ecological interest. It offers visitors a remarkable landscape. Ponds, woodlands, wet meadows and salt meadows can be discovered in the heart of the valley, before arriving at a magnificent panorama over the Channel and the Yères valley from the top of Mont Joli-Bois. This natural area is home to a wide variety of birds and plants typical of estuarine environments.
For many centuries, farming, grazing and fishing were the predominant activities in the lower valley. Despite increasing urbanization and tourist activity, with the presence of a seaside resort on the site, this sensitive natural area has managed to retain a high level of agro-pastoral activity and an intact natural aspect.
The site is owned by the Conservatoire du Littoral and managed by the Département de la Seine-Maritime.
