With La lumière comme sculpteur, Cédric Grenet presents a collection of 40 photographs in which light and shadow converse with depth and poetry. Here, light does more than illuminate: it becomes matter and tool, shaping forms and textures.

Inspired by the American photographer Ray K. Metzker, a master of fragmented compositions and striking contrasts, and by Olivier Roche, a photographer from Le Havre who explores materials and light, Cédric Grenet pursues an artistic quest centered on light as a sculptural element.

His images, taken in the Caux Seine agglo region and along the Seine estuary, plunge the viewer into urban, industrial and natural landscapes. Light redefines contours, accentuates lines and transforms each photograph into a visual sculpture, revealing a metamorphosed reality.

Through a subtle play of shadows and contrasts, Cédric Grenet invites us to rediscover our everyday environment, to perceive textures differently and to feel the silent power of light. In this masterful chiaroscuro, shadow and light confront and harmonize to offer a renewed vision of the world.
