On foot: freedom on the hiking trails

In Seine-Maritime, walking becomes a journey through varied and inspiring landscapes. From wind-sculpted cliffs to verdant valleys, each trail offers a unique adventure. The GR®21, a true gem, winds along the cliffs of the Côte d’Albâtre, offering breathtaking views of the English Channel. Here, the swell mingles with the tranquility of secluded coves.

Further along, the Seine valley offers gentle strolls, where the river traces its path through tranquil countryside. In the shade of the centuries-old beech trees of the Eawy and Brotonneforests, walking becomes a refreshing break in the fresh air! Let yourself be guided, mane in the wind, from Dieppe to Fécamp through the thousand-faceted landscapes of Seine-Maritime.

Whether you’re looking for a family outing or a more challenging hike, the trails of Seine-Maritime invite you to explore a preserved, authentic and welcoming natural environment.

 Cycling in Seine-Maritime

With almost 500 kilometers of signposted cycle routes, Seine-Maritime is a promised land for cyclists. Three major national routes cross the département, offering a variety of discoveries: the Avenue Verte London-Paris links two capitals via the Pays de Bray, between green hills and charming villages, while the Vélomaritime follows the cliffs and beaches of the Côte d’Albâtre, passing through the historic seaside resorts of Dieppe and Fécamp.

Finally, the Seine à vélo guides you through the winding river, revealing landscapes where heritage, nature and culture mingle. The more adventurous can try the Tour de la Seine-Maritime, a 325-kilometer circuit that captures the essence of the region. Accessible, surprising and connected to several stations, this network of cycle paths is an invitation to explore in a different way, while savouring the diversity of Normandy’s panoramas. Saddle up!

Trail running: courses to challenge yourself

For thrill-seekers, trail running in Seine-Maritime is an infinite playground. Here, nature makes no pretence: steep climbs, technical descents and spectacular views are the order of the day. The Trail de la Côte d’Albâtre, the flagship event, offers several circuits that criss-cross the beaches, cliffs and hinterland, ideal for pushing your limits while immersing yourself in the raw beauty of nature.

Other, more confidential routes reveal unsuspected treasures, between fields of flax and wooded paths. Every stride tests your calves, and the panorama that opens up rewards every effort. You may feel out of breath, but you’ll never want to go any further.
