Overview
We have found the ideal walk for you and your family to do at the weekends. The Caudebec-en-Caux Wetland Educational Trail will delight both children and grown-ups with its wooden observation point and its information panels. Accessible on your own and at any time, this trail is perfect for a one-hour-long fun and educational walk between marsh and reed beds.
Plant, insect and animal lovers, we invite you to come and explore this fragile and rich ecosystem, especially in spring and summer. It is at this time of year that some flowers show their bright colours and birds establish themselves in the heart of the reed bed. In autumn, you will see another facet of this site with the warm and vivid colour of the trees.
Starting from the observation point, you just have to follow the information panels to be guided through the wetland and the reed bed. Follow the wooden footbridges and immerse yourself in this remarkable natural setting. You will be able to walk along the two rivers that run through the wetland: the Ambion and the Sainte Gertrude. Here, there is a truly peacefu atmosphere!
This educational trail is one of our favourites, a true nature break in the centre of Caudebec-en-Caux. Visitors are so close to the town and yet feel somewhat cut off from the hustle and bustle of daily life. One last piece of advice: take time to go and see the vegetables in the allotment garden, and for sports lovers, do not hesitate to exercise along the fitness trail located nearby.
