Le Grimbourg

Pays de Bray

Overview

Enjoy a walk between forest and fields in the heart of the Pays de Bray with the Grimbourg circular route!

You will start this 5.6 km walk in the village of Molagnies, located a few kilometres away from Gournay-en-Bray. You will start by walking along Saint Manvieu Church. Look up at its bell tower, you will be surprised by the combination of red and black tiles that adorn its walls. After a short descent in the village, you will continue on a charming path that will take you to the Bray plateau. Between fields, take time to admire to the view over the surrounding environment!

This walk will then take you to the hamlet of Hyancourt. Without even noticing it, you will cross the border between two departments. You are now in the Oise Department!

On the way back, you will follow a path surrounded by vegetation from which you will be able to see the splendid dovecote of the Domaine du Quesnoy. It belongs to the AVA Shelter, a charity that helps old animals. Back in Molagnies, feel free to enjoy a picnic break in the heart of the village!

Ideal with your family, this walk will delight everyone thanks to its diverse and varied landscapes. Our advice: make the most of a sunny day to enjoy the beauty of this walk.

Be careful, this route is not recommended when it has been raining. Some stretches can become impassable after heavy rain! It is no coincidence that the word "bray" means "muddy place” in Old French!
