Overview
In the Scie Valley, a loop route in the countryside that is perfect to enjoy a walk with the whole family.
Ideal for a family outing, this 6.5 km rural loop is not likely to disappoint you! A trip to the heart of the Saw Valley, between the old woods of Montigny and the typical fields of the Pays de Caux, where time is as if suspended. You can only be seduced by this beautiful one-hour mountain bike ride
With its flat paths, you will be able to leave on the Montigny circuit without having to worry about the difficulty! After a short passage in the forest, you will quickly find yourself in the hollow of the valley where the Saw flows peacefully, a small stream that you will have to cross, in the dry of course! Take the time to enjoy the 360 degree view of the typical landscapes of the Pays de Caux and soak up the peaceful atmosphere of this place. The rest of the route then takes place on a lovely little path on the edge of the forest which offers you a palette of greens or a gradation of oranges depending on the season you will be there. Open your eyes wide and enjoy these unique moments!
Continue your journey with a bit of history by taking a small part of the GR210, in the footsteps of the "Chasse-Marée". 80 km long, this itinerary follows as closely as possible the old "fish road" that once linked Dieppe to Rouen. The "Chasse-marée" was the profession of the fish merchants who transported the fish products from the sea to Rouen and Paris
Back in the forest, you will see a large clearing. It is at the bottom of this clearing that you will discover the Château de Montigny, now a private property. Just a few more pedal turns and you're back at the starting point with beautiful pictures in your head!
Our little tip at the end: equip yourself appropriately, as the forest paths can get muddy in case of rain.
