Le Chemin Vert du Petit Caux

Côte d'Albâtre

Overview

In the heart of the vast agricultural plateau of Petit Caux, the Chemin Vert puts nature and history at your feet!

Between the town of Eu and Saint-Quentin-au-Bosc, this 17 kilometers long itinerary follows the old railroad line linking Dieppe to Eu. Put into service in 1885, the railroad was removed in 1982. Today, the train does not whistle anymore but many traces of this railway past remain. You will be able to admire the gatekeeper's house, level crossings and the Touffreville-sur-Eu goods shed!

As for nature, the route is also very rich! Be attentive and open your eyes wide... All along the itinerary, numerous plant and animal species populate the place. Alongside common animals such as the badger, the blackbird or the hare, you may be lucky enough to see rarer species such as the ermine, the tawny owl or the green woodpecker.
To learn more, information panels are placed along the route. Do not hesitate to consult them!

To cover the entire trail on foot, you will need four hours! But it is also possible to walk part of it. There are several access points along the route. If you wish to take a break for a snack, picnic areas are available at the beginning and halfway along the trail.

Due to construction, the Chemin Vert du Petit Caux will not be accessible during the first half of 2023. Please inquire beforehand.
