Overview
Enjoy a nature experience in the heart of the Pays de Bray! Leaving from Brémontier-Merval, this 10.7 km route will show you Seine-Maritime in a different way.
The walk starts with a quiet and pleasant road that will take you to the heart of the forest!
This shaded section will allow you, with some luck, to watch some birds. It is also an opportunity to take your time before climbing towards the Bois de Martel. Be careful, this section is rockier and can be slippery after heavy rain!
This hill will put your endurance to the test, but you will be able, if you want, to take a break. After a bend in the road stands a wooden picnic table. It is waiting for you!
Only a few metres left to reach the top and you will see a road that will lead you to the charming village of Mont-Réal.
The path then continues through fields and will offer you a stunning view over the buttonhole of the Pays de Bray. Look around you because it is when you will reach the top of the steep and chalk hill that you will see the Château de Ménerval below. This listed 17th century site is now home to a vocational agricultural school.
The walk is about to come to an end. One last descent through the woods will take you to the hamlet of Routhieux, which gave its name to the walk.
