The Valleuse de Grainval

76400 SAINT-LEONARD / Côte d'Albâtre

Valleuses (dry-hanging valleys)

It is, here, in this quiet dry-hanging valley that stands a small brick and flint chapel with sea-related stained-glass windows.
Once on the beach, you can distinguish Fécamp to the north. This view inspired Claude Monet who painted there in 1881. A few metres away, spring water gushes out of the cliff and flows to sea. It is known as the source of the "Crying Rock".
