Valasse Abbey, looking like an 18th century manor house, still holds two restored 12th century rooms. It organises fun, cultural and family activities all year round and caters for seminars and corporate events.
Valasse Abbey: 850 years of history!
Welcome to a site steeped in history!
Located in Gruchet-le-Valasse, in the Seine Valley between Rouen and Le Havre in Normandy, Valasse Abbey is nestled in a unique setting. Close to other exceptional sites, such as Etretat and Honfleur, Valasse Abbey is in the heart of an attractive region!
Valasse Abbey has been shaped by nine centuries marked by Cistercian monks, the Hundred Years' War, the French Revolution, its transformation into a country house, the textile industry, the dairy industry, etc.
It has now reconnected with its founding values and is again a place of work and conviviality, anchored in the local community and making the best use of the local resources.
All year round, Valasse Abbey hosts:
– cultural, sports and family events
– weddings and receptions
– seminars and corporate events
The abbey and its park are open all year round with unrestricted access from 9.00 am to 6.30 pm. We remind you that dogs must be kept on lead within the park.
