Located in the heart of the Pays de Bray, the Epinay Wood stretches between the river Andelle and the river Chevrette. The various paths will take you to see diverse natural habitats and their remarkable species, from heathland plateaux to peat bogs, including afforestation areas. You will be able to observe numerous species of dragonflies.
During the 19th century, the wood was used to supply the town's forges At the same time, peat continued to be exploited until the early 20th century. In the 1980s, five artificial lakes were created on the two rivers.
This site belongs to the town of Forges-les-Eaux and is managed by the Department of Seine-Maritime in partnership with the National Forestry Office.
