Les Pêcheries, Musée de Fécamp

Fécamp's Museum of Fisheries holds the town's complete collections. The visit of the Museum of Fisheries starts with the vertiginously high belvedere offering a sweeping view over the town and the port. Walking down, you will hear about the adventures of fishermen who used to leave for months-long cod-fishing campaigns in the icy waters of Newfoundland. Further down, you will see Fine-Art collections and regional collections of Norman furniture, clothes and jewellery. Finally, you will be moved by Dr Dufour's surprising collection dedicated to childhood.
The museum also includes an information centre, temporary exhibition halls and an astonishing old-fashioned "cabinet of curiosities". Finally, the former net makers' locker rooms and the shipowner's office can be visited with a guide (prior booking required).
