Visits of heritage sites are organised all year round and led by tour guides who help visitors understand the local heritage.
Since 1992, Fécamp has been a member of the national network of French Towns and Regions of Art and History.
In the "boucane", a word used in Fécamp to refer to the smokehouses, herrings were prepared and smoked using a Viking method. The last smokehouse closed down in 1996. The Boucane du Grand Quai, which now belongs to the Departement of Seine-Maritime, is the only smokehouse in the region that has kept its equipment and that is open to visitors for guided tours.
