Overview
Located in Place du Vieux Marché (Old Market Square) in Rouen, opposite the stake where Joan of arc was burnt alive, the "Couronne" has been an institution since 1345, which makes it the oldest inn in France.
The oldest inn of France (since the 14th century) and its typical half-timbered front, which resisted to the bombing of 1944 and to a fire in 1988. It was a famous place where kings, queens, heads of states, politics, artists, stars, writers, sportsmen and women have come to have lunch or dinner.
