Le Cardinal

107 Boulevard de Strasbourg 76600 LE HAVRE / Côte d'Albâtre

Le petit futé

“Le Cardinal”, one of the great brasseries and landmarks of Le Havre, benefits from a privileged location a stone's throw away from the centre along a boulevard that links the train station and the Town Hall.
You will receive a warm welcome by a dynamic, professional and attentive team in a recently and tastefully renovated setting that is both friendly and casual. The unusual layout of the room with different levels and areas provides customers with both comfort and intimacy.
The particularly delicate and inventive cuisine is made under the supervision of Emilie FORTERRE. After a twenty-year-long career as a wine steward all over France, this native from Le Havre returned to her roots and kitchen. Assisted by her Chef Sébastien, they combine their know-how and their passion to offer homemade cuisine. Here, they revisit classics by combining modernity and tradition. While you could expect a typical brasserie dish, the plate comes with a surprising touch of refinement that is not detrimental to generosity.
The wide range of dishes, menus and wines suits all budgets and all occasions: a "Snack and Takeaway” menu, a "Cardinal Express" menu as well as daily blackboard menu that according to the season and the produce available for lunch, and a "Menu Carte" for business meals and dinner.
The restaurant can comfortably accommodate groups of more than 100 guests, including private room, tailored menus and music entertainment.
Foreign customers are also welcomed and will be able to communicate easily in English.
