The Pollet is the old fishermen's district. It is here, by the water that they sell their catch of the day directly to consumers on the fish market that takes place every morning (depending on the weather) Quai Trudaine, on the right after the Ango bridge which spans the basins.

This market, very popular among local people and visitors, provides a wide choice of seasonal fish: sea bass, sole, skate, monkfish, scallops, herring, shrimps and all sorts of shellfish... All those products were caught during the night and unloaded early in the morning in the port.

In addition to this fish market, you can also buy seafood products every morning at the "gates" located at the beginning of the Quai Henri IV after the Tourist Information Centre. About ten fishermen from Dieppe sell their freshly-caught fish directly to consumers and restaurants.
