Château de Mesnières

Avenue du Château 76270 MESNIERES-EN-BRAY / Pays de Bray

In the heart of the Pays de Bray, the Château de Mesnières has been nestled in the Béthune Valley for 500 years. A jewel of Renaissance architecture, you will be able to discover its wonderful treasures.

The castle has been located in Pays de Bray, in the Valley of La Béthune for 500 years. It is a jewel of the Renaissance architecture where you can discover many tresures : the red deers gallery where the Marquis de Mesnières have had seven red deers sculpted, the four drums room which used to be a music room, the cards room with its 19th century paintings... You can also visit the area that has been renovated after the fire of February 20 of 2004. The framework has been reconstructed as it was before...

Come and enjoy our green and quiet setting, the beautiful "à la française" gardens.

The animals, goats, peacocks, ducks, gooses...will delight the children as the football, volleyball and pétanque grounds...

You can also have a walk in the 5 hectares landscape garden with its limetrees, oak trees and chestnut trees… And in spring, you can admire the rare and protected wild tulips, the daffodils and primeroses…

A little bit far away in the garden, you will find a tower beside a bed of various flowers, where you can enjoy a beautiful view on Pays de Bray.

In 2008, a plant nave has been created by 2 ceramicists of Pays de Brays, Jacques et Juliette DAMVILLE. It is a hudge sculpture allying earthenware and plants. Outside the nave, the colours are similar to those you find in the Norman countryside but inside the nave, the colours are bright as those you could see in the art of GAUDI in Barcelone.
